Bill O'reilly was on....
...the Daily show last night and didn't have much to say. Unusual for the 'no spin' man. Then today on his radio show he said the solution to the Mexican illegal problem is simple: simply put the U.S. Army down to guard the border. He says over 80% of those illegals would be caught. I guess he just doesn't realize how far that border stretches. He had a couple of other rants but what was really interesting is he said he's thinking about retiring. Hmmm...with his askew solutions maybe it's about time.

How in the hell can we use the Army when all available men are in Afghanistand and Iraq?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, is he suggesting a pull out of Iraq?
LOL!
well as much as I really hate to do it, I have to agree with mojo on that, we can't spare the army to patrol the southern border. what I would like to see, is them to erect one of those piling walls like they used to stop the flooding in parts of New Orleans. Have a solid iron wall along the boarder. that would stop them.
boy, those spammers think up some eye-catching url's eh? Wonder what ever made that thread think I was interested in 'dating african people'? lol
He can't retire! How will I get entertainment
We could build a "Great Wall of China" along the southern border and another one along the Canadian border.
But what do we do about the 3 to 5 thousand miles of coastline?

i saw o'reilly on the daily show. he sure is humorless and like stewart said, what he is angry about are issues that don't even matter. i can't believe he is still trying to pump blood into that whole 'boycott france' b.s. movement. nice smokescreen for the real problems of the day, enjoy your freedom fries with any ketchup other than heinz bill!
OK echeevo72,
First of all, the Daily Show is a comedy show. Bill O'Reilly is not a comedian. On his factor show, Bill does raise some serious issues which are discussed by both liberals and conservatives.
How can Stewart invite him on his show and then put him down the first chance he gets?
Also "issues that don't even matter". 25% of Mexico population has in one way or another crossed into this country illegaly and this has been discussed repeatedly on Bill's show.
I think it matters very much.
Sorry, Roman, but the point is there is no way we can patrol 2000 miles of border. We would have to pull all our military from everywhere and station them along the border. O'Reilly sometimes just comes up with these cockamamie ideas. When companys stop hiring illegals is when the problem will cease but that is a remote probability. How about increasing the manpower of the immigration officers and police businesses instead of the borders?
